Youth Camp Update!! Terry Herndon Youth Director JADA
The camps have been set and the wait begins!! This year the JADA will have three camps as we did last year. On October 10th through the 12 th we will have our camp in Unit 23 just up the road from Pumpkin Center! And just down the road from Roosevelt Lake! There is a map located on our website http://www.azdeer.org/ along with some information about this camp. Down in the southern units we will have our camp in 36A. This camp will be set up and running Nov 21-23, and we should have a great turn out. Last year there were several young hunters who scored on some very nice bucks. The entire team helping in that camp did an excellent job; just as the team did in unit 23. There will be a map of the location on our website for those of you who would like to join in the fun. Contact Gabe Pas for more information. GPaz@azgfd.gov Woody Farnsworth and Bill Hill will have the 20C camp again this year and as usual they will have some outstanding folks there to help them. Last year we had a great turn out and there were some very happy young hunters in camp. This camp will be held November 21st through the 23rd and we will have directions to the camp on our website. Understand that you do not have to have a tag to enjoy the festivities that are in these camps. We highly recommend getting your kids to one of our three camps or as many camps as you would like to visit. The most important part of being outdoors is, well, being outdoors. Get the kids, get Mom or Dad and head to the hills and have fun!! If any of you out there would like to help with these camps we can always use the help. You can contact Terry Herndon at arizonaoutfitter@cox.net or on my cell phone at 623-696-5579 and I will be happy to get you turned in the right direction to one of these camps! I hope to see some of you there!! Remember that the video cord is only 4 foot long—there isn’t much fun at the other end so please get the kids out and show them what we all were raised on; fresh air, beautiful sights and family.
