Live Auction List 2012

Thank you to our generous donors!!

****Please note that the AGFD commission has a requirement that anyone bidding on the special commissioner's tags be registered with the ADA prior to the start of bidding.
You may register the night of the banquet...please see John Koleszar to register.  This is only required for the commissioner's tags, not the other items in the live auction****

Arizona Commissioners’ Special  Bear  License / Tag and Hunt

One of Arizona’s best-kept secrets is the number and size of black bears that exist here. This Commissioners tag offers the lucky buyer the opportunity to take a truly incredible Arizona bear. This tag is valid from August 15, 2012 through August 14, 2013 for any bear except sow with cubs. Hunt can take place Statewide (Except Camp Navajo in Unit 36B, Mohave County Park Lands in Unit 16A, and Fort Huachuca in Unit 35S)

Arizona Commissioners’ Special Mule Deer Tag

This is the best mule deer hunt in North America!  Hunt statewide (except Camp Navajo in Unit 6B, Mohave County Park Lands in Unit 16A, and Fort Huachuca in Unit 35A)  including the “Arizona Strip” and the famous “Kaibab.”  Each year there are some fantastic bucks taken in these areas. It is not uncommon for permit buyers to take bucks over the magic 200” B&C mark, and this permit has produced mule deer bucks over 300 inches!  This tag usually sells for more than any other auction tag deer hunt sold in the country. This permit has a 365-day season from August 15, 2012 through August 14, 2013!

Arizona Commissioners’ Coues Deer Tag

The winner of this tag will have the opportunity to hunt Coues deer on most public (or private with permission) lands statewide from August 15, 2012 until August 14, 2013.  The tag is specifically good for Coues deer statewide except Camp Navajo in Unit 6B, Mohave County Park Lands in Unit 16A, and Fort Huachuca in Unit 35A.  Each year these tags are auctioned to the highest bidder, generally selling for around $30,000! There is no guiding service provided with this tag but there will be no shortage of options should the winner choose to employ an outfitter.  Though records are very incomplete, it would be fair to say that there have been more B&C bucks killed in the last two years than in any other time in Arizona history.

Mexico Gould’s Turkey Hunt

This is a four day guided hunt for Gould’s Turkey on one of a selection of ranches in Sonora, Mexico.  Hunter can either fly to Hermosillo or drive. Guide will meet you in Nogales (if driving) or Hermosillo (if flying) to assist with entering Mexico.  A gun permit ($150) is required for you to bring your own weapon.  However, shotguns are available for use at the ranch house. Accommodations are in the ranch house and include all meals and an open bar. Mexafari turkey hunters currently have the #3 and #4 trophies in the SCI record book and a bird harvested recently is a pending new world record.  The hunter who won this hunt in last year’s auction shot a great turkey with multiple beards.  Additional hunters can be added for $1,850.

Number of Hunters: One (1)

Dates of Hunt: April/May 2013 (or if needed can be done a year later)

Hunt Includes: Meet and greet in either Nogales or Hermosillo, lodging, all meals and bar, guide with field trophy preparation (caping and skinning) are included.

Hunt Does Not Include: Transportation to and from Hermosillo (if flying), gun permit, and gratuities are extra.

Mexico Coues Whitetail Deer Hunt

This is a five day guided hunt for Coues Whitetail on one of a selection of ranches in the Sonora, Mexico.  Hunter can either fly to Hermosillo or drive. Guide will meet you in Nogales (if driving) or Hermosillo (if flying) to assist with entering Mexico.  A gun permit ($150) is required for you to bring your own weapon.  No permit is needed if you wish to hunt with archery equipment. Accommodations are in a ranch house and include all meals and an open bar. In 2009, one of their hunters took a giant non-typical buck that scored 173 inches and it had 28 points on it!  Also in recent years, hunters have taken several deer over 120 B&C.  You can reasonably expect to harvest a deer scoring 105 B&C and with some luck, something much larger.  Additional hunters can be added for at a special discounted rate of $3600. There are also opportunities for javelina and fishing.

Number of Hunters: One (1)
