Hunt Information: The Douglas Rifle and Pistol Club held it's annual Big Buck contest on Jan 4, 2004. To help with the scoring, they invited ADA board member Amanda Moors down as an official measurer. The top Mule Deer taken scored 130 4/8 and was shot by Marissa Rojas. Clint Maddux got the top Coues deer, scoring 109 1/8 net. There were several other nice bucks taken this year.
marissa-rojas * Marissa Rojas won the 2004 Douglas Big Buck Contest in the Mule Deer category with this 130 4/8 inch deer. It was her first deer ever! * 500 x 538 * (79KB)

clint-maddux * Clint Maddux won the 2004 Douglas Big Buck Contest with this 109 1/8 inch Coues Deer. He got it in Unit 30A in Nov 2004. * 500 x 410 * (60KB)

Robert-Hunter-Long * Robert Hunter Long is 11 years old and this is his first deer! He got it with a 33 yard shot from his bow in Unit 30B in 2004. * 500 x 450 * (68KB)

robert-long * Robert Long got this Coues Deer in Unit 29 in Nov 2004. He got it with 2 shots at 650 yards. * 398 x 500 * (63KB)

ruben-valdez * Ruben Valdez got this Coues Deer in Unit 29 in Nov 2003. It was with one other buck before he shot it at 450 yards. It grosses 106. * 355 x 480 * (53KB)

mike-bool * Mike Bool got this awesome 112 inch Coues Deer with the help of his friend Mike and his father (Mark Bool, current president of the ADA). * 500 x 386 * (53KB)

mark-denham * Ten year-old Mark Denham got this deer in Unit 32 in Nov 2003 on his first big game hunt. He made an excellent long shot after waiting 4.5 hours for just the right moment. His father, Chris Denham is on the Board of Governors for the ADA and helped Mark on this hunt. * 500 x 375 * (76KB)

Jason-Hoyungowas * Jason Hoyungowas got a great first Coues deer that scored 103
