Buckskin Chapter….Arizona Deer Association

January 28, 2008

Members and Friends:

Preparations are under way for our Annual Banquet and Fundraiser. This year will be our eighth under the banner of the Arizona Deer Association. In the past seven years, chapter members and friends have volunteered over one thousand nine hundred hours of labor in the care and construction of water projects in game management units north of the river and in the southern end of Utah’s Paunsaugunt Unit (for benefit of the migratory herd that winters on both sides of Utah’s border with Arizona’s Unit 12B). Other annual activities include the Littlefield Fundraiser, at least one “Family Camp Out”, and sponsorship of the Unit 12AW (Kaibab) Junior’s Hunt Base Camp. Chapter members also assist with browse studies. Check out the ADA website at www.azdeer.org for more info and pictures of project work.

This year’s Banquet will be held in Page on March 1st at the Elks Lodge, located at 807 Aqua Avenue. Dinner will be Prime Rib with all the fixin’s and will be served at 7:00 PM. Doors will open at 6:00 PM for auction items viewing and raffle ticket purchases. Of course, we all know what happens after dinner….please plan to be generous. Remember, all the proceeds of the raffles & auctions stay with our local chapter….and will help finance projects on the Kaibab, Buckskins, Strip, and in the Paunsaugunt. Funds will also go toward public education and youth programs that directly benefit wildlife habitat.

Tickets are now available through any of the Banquet Board Members listed below. Cost for a single membership with dinner is $55.00. Couples can join and enjoy dinner for $75.00. Youth membership with dinner is $40.00. Dinner only tickets will be available on February 9th and will cost $20.00 each.

Click here to see the order form (word document).  Print out the form, fill it out and mail it in to receive your tickets to this exciting event!

Seating will be limited for this event and we are offering “Early Bird” ticket purchases through February 8th with an opportunity to win a Marlin Model 1895 lever action 45/70 rifle provided by Blair’s Dinnebito Trading Post of Page, Arizona. Please don’t delay….when the seats are sold….the ticket sales stop. Fill out the accompanying page and send your monies in to the Chapter (at the above address) or give them to one of the board members to guarantee your place(s) at the banquet. Do it by February 8th and qualify for the “Early Bird” drawing.
