I.  Guest Speakers -Joint banquet

The Board discussed ticket prices with AAF representatives.  It was decided that ticket prices will be $65/single  $750 for tables of 10 w/ $200 of raffle tickets.  We will design a joint ticket, b/w, maximum  of 600 individually numbered.  Tracey Martin will design; John Koleszar will print.

Live auction from AAF -  lion hunt, Armendaris ranch hunt, Wyoming antelope, night striper fishing , zulu nyala photo safari,  Bahamas vacation/trip.

Silent auction – discussed having items from both groups mixed together.  We have pewter pieces from Scott Ballor for both groups.  We should have a total of 50 items each.

It was decided that we will have a telephone conference on 2/28 at 6:30 pm to discuss banquet issues.  Shane Stewart will set it up.

II.  News & Info from Game and Fish

Amber Munig – reported that the hunt guidelines comments are due in June; however, G&F would appreciate receiving them sooner so that they can be reviewed and incorporated.  G&F is devising management goals and objectives for deer, with focus management areas defined.  She explained that this will be different from the species specific management areas.  Brian Wakeling will be conducting a webcast this Tuesday.  The Department has hired a new HPC person.    The mule deer tag went for $205,000 at the MDF banquet.  The sheep tag went for $105,000.

The board discussed predator control with  G&F; the department is not receiving clear direction from the commission on this issue.

III.  Old Business

We have received our hats, with embroidery, will cost $13.50.  We are selling them for $20.   Our newsletter has been printed, and we will be selling newsletters as well at the Expo and ISE.

A.  banquet – John is soliciting cash donations from various sources.  He has $2500 from Alan Hamberlin and will also ask Ray Tanner.  Ticket sales – we need to get information on the website as soon as possible so that we can start selling tickets.    We need to review our last year’s donations so that we can determine what we have for this year.  John is hoping to work with Tim Tanner and Chris Denham for live auction donations, and will ask Tim if Sanderson is interested in sponsoring the cup raffle again.  Christian Wolfe will be able to help us with silent auction items.

B.  GADR – the order from is finished and printed.  We need to do a mailing and start promoting the raffle.

IV. New Business

A.   ISE – the weekend of Feb 25th.  We need bodies.  Pete Cimellaroand Joe Allen will be there.

B.  Game and Fish Expo – March 26-27.  We also need bodies to work this as well.
