ADA Deer Hunters Clinic

Saturday August 13th 2011

 

Join the Arizona Deer Association for this fun filled FREE clinic with topics covering Deer hunting, glassing, archery, proper game care and first aid.   For more information, please call Rick Miller 602-463-6192.

Clinic Agenda: 

7:30 AM thru 1:00 PM – Seminars and presentations in the Quail Room at G&F HQ’s  

·         7:30 AM – Sign in and Registration

·         8:00 AM – Welcome and Introduction – Rick Miller

·         8:05 AM – Biology and Habitat – Arizona Game and Fish

·         9:00 AM – Introduction and overview of field activities

o       Optics and Glassing - Cortland Thude/Scott Streich

o       Game Care – Mike Miller

o       Taxidermy – Dale Robertson

o       .22 shooting – Dave Bruns

o       Archery – Mike Raum

 

9:30 AM thru 1:00 PM – Field Activities 

·         Firearms safety and .22 shooting at the range.

o       Participants will be required to attend a short firearms safety presentation prior to shooting the rifles.

·         Archery and Bow Hunting Clinic.

·         Optics Glassing – hands on glassing techniques.

 

1:00 PM thru 3:00 PM -  Activity Center near the small bore range. 

·         Q&A with Regional Wild Life Managers.

·         Outdoor survival and First Aide.

·         Q&A with Optics Reps.

·         Youth Raffle – Featuring a .22 rifle and other items.

o       One free ticket given to each youth in attendance.

·         GADR raffle drawing
