To the Juniors Hunters in Units 1 and 27,
On behalf of the Arizona Deer Association and Arizona Elk Society, congratulations to each of you on successfully drawing a tag in the 2003 drawing for either a juniors deer or elk hunt in Game Management Units 1 or 27. The best of luck to each of you.
The Arizona Deer Association and Arizona Elk Society are extending an invitation to you, the adults and other members of your camp, to come by and take advantage of our 2nd annual camp for the juniors hunting either deer or elk in Units 1 or 27 from October 3rd to October 6th.
Camp will open at approximately 6 pm on October 2nd and close early to mid-afternoon October 5th. We will provide free hotdogs, hamburgers, sodas, water, coffee, hot chocolate and chips to those who come by.
We will also try (depending upon their schedules) to have representatives from the Arizona Game and Fish Department, US Forest Service and US Fish and Wildlife Service, as well as local individuals in camp for a presentation starting around 6 pm October 2nd (and through-out the camp as much as possible) to provide information on a variety of topics, including where elk and deer have been seen or traditional areas where they may be found.
Please refer to the maps for the location of the camp.
Again, congratulations and good luck on your hunt! Please remember SAFETY first and it's not necessary to harvest an animal to have a successful hunt.

Treat every firearm as if it is loaded. Never assume a firearm is unloaded.
Always keep your gun pointed in a safe direction and control the direction of your firearm’s muzzle. Never pull a firearm toward you by the muzzle.
Be sure of your target and what is beyond it. Another hunter could be in front of or behind your target.
