To the Juniors Hunters in Unit 23,

On behalf of the Arizona Deer Association (ADA) and the Mogollon Sporting Association (MSA), congratulations to each of you on successfully drawing a tag for the Unit 23 Junior’s deer hunt.  The best of luck to you all.

The Arizona Deer Association and the Mogollon Sporting Association are extending an invitation to you, the adults and other members of your camp to come by and take advantage of the camp that we are operating for your hunt.

The camp will start at approximately 6 pm on October 16th and close early to mid-afternoon on October 19th.  We will provide free hotdogs, hamburgers, sodas, water, coffee, hot chocolate and chips to those who come by.

We will try (depending upon scheduling) to have representatives from the Arizona Game and Fish Department and the United States Forest Service in camp at 6 pm on Thursday October 16th for a general information presentation.  In addition, ADA and MSA volunteers are available to assist you if possible with your hunt.

Please refer to the map(s) for the location of the camp.

Again, congratulations and good luck on your hunt! Please remember - SAFETY first and, it's not necessary to harvest an animal to have a successful hunt.

  Sincerely,

 Blaine Bickford

ADA Board of Directors

Treat every firearm as if it is loaded.  Never assume a firearm is unloaded.

Always keep your gun pointed in a safe direction and control the direction of your firearm’s muzzle.  Never pull a firearm toward you by the muzzle.

Be sure of your target and what is beyond it.  Another hunter could be in front of or behind your target.
