Arizona Deer Association
News and Announcements

The Arizona Deer Association is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization dedicated to preserving deer and deer habitat in the state of Arizona.

Our 2008 banquet was a success!  What a great time!

We netted about $221,000 for wildlife projects!
The special commissioner's tag for a mule deer sold for $126,000 and the Coues deer tag went for $24,000.

Thank you to those who attended and those who donated some great hunts and items!

The AGFD commission recently met to set the hunt seasons.  Several sportsmen, including representatives for the ADA and the Buckskin Chapter of the ADA attended the meeting and let the commission know their views on the proposed seasons.  Here are some video clips of the public comment section of the meeting:

Public comment by Chris Denham and Walt Corn, representing the ADA and Buckskin chapter of the ADA, respectively.

Public comment by Dick King, Arizona Bowhunters Association

Public comment by David Myrick, Desert Christian Archers

Public comment by Steve Cheuvront, member of the ADA

Here are some other segments of the meeting.

Mills Ridge Water Catchment Project was held April 14-15, 2007.  This project was done to put in a wildlife water to help reduce deer mortality on highway 188.

Looking for a way to get involved?  We need people like you who are willing to get involved.  Some exciting opportunities include helping our youth hunters at the ADA sponsored youth camps and helping to raise money for wildlife habitat projects as well as working on those habitat projects.
Email our President, Pete Cimellaro, for more information
